Educator Resources

Environmental Education Programs for Schools

Medina County Park District’s environmental education curriculum aligns with Ohio Department of Education science learning standards to help educators and homeschoolers enhance classroom studies with practical application in the natural environment. All programs are taught by a dedicated team of naturalists that actively engages students in hands-on learning and helps to foster in them an appreciation for the natural world.

Programs are held at the Oenslager Nature Center, where a wide variety of habitats exist to enhance students’ educational experiences. Forests, meadows, deep-water ponds, and wetlands are all waiting to be explored. At Oenslager Nature Center, children can discover the wonder of nature and have learning become an adventure!
