Medina County Park Locations

HOURS:

Parks and nature preserves are open daily from 6 a.m. to one hour past sunset.

Oenslager Nature Center/Alderfer-Chatfield Wildlife Sanctuary is open Tuesday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m. and is subject to holiday hours when applicable.

Susan Hambley Nature Center is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 5 p.m. and is subject to holiday hours when applicable.

Chippewa Lake and the public boat launch ramp are both open 24-hours per day.

Parks
A variety of activities are possible in our parks – hiking, biking, fishing, picnicking, birdwatching, and more. Many parks have playgrounds, reservable lodges and open-air shelters; amenities vary by location. A few sports fields are available. Leashed pets are welcome.

Preserves
Our nature preserves have fewer amenities than parks. Improvements are typically limited to open-air shelters and natural-surface trails. Restrooms may not be available. Leashed pets are welcome. Biking is not permitted.

Wildlife Sanctuaries
Visitors to our wildlife sanctuaries will notice similarities to nature preserves. However, additional restrictions include no fishing, no picnicking, and no pets.
