New ADA-accessible Paddlecraft Launch Opens at Brunswick Lake Park

Ready to see Brunswick Lake from a whole new perspective? Grab your kayak, canoe, or paddleboard and hit the water!

Staff members from Medina County Park District and the city of Brunswick gathered at Brunswick Lake Park on September 24, 2026 to officially open the park’s new ADA-accessible paddlecraft launch, providing visitors with a new way to enjoy the lake. This project is made possible with support from the Cleveland Clinic and the city of Brunswick.

The launch is located on the northwest side of the lake and is accessible from the ten parking spaces available for park visitors in the Cleveland Clinic parking lot. Visitors are able to transport their canoes, kayaks, or stand-up paddleboards down a paved path and boardwalk to a dock that includes a launch with ADA seating and grab bars for ease of access to the water. Please note that vessels must be registered with the State of Ohio. A personal flotation device must be with you while on the water.
